Details of Some of the ORP Błyskawica Crew Members During WWII
These photos were included in a brochure produced by Muzeum Marynarki Wojennej commemorating the 80th Anniversary
of Blyskawica's role in saving Cowes.

here is some additional information about individual crew members of the ORP Błyskawica during WWII:
I also remember some other crew members who lived on the Isle of Wight when I was young,
including:
Senior Boatswain Franciszek "Frank" Skalski: Frank and his family, Rose and Josephine ("Josey"), emigrated to Canada.
Leading Seaman Bernard Witkowski (b:1915 - d:2005): Bernard worked at Miss Beale's Store in East Cowes. He was honored during the 50th Anniversary of the raid on Cowes in 1992.
Other veterans present at that ceremony included Józef Klamt, Bolesław Sawicki and Henryk Jach.
